This website is based
strongly within the Bangalow community and exists as a service to, and a reflection of
this richly diverse part of the world. bangalow.com grew out of B.I.F.F. (Bangalow Is For Families) - a loose agglomeration of concerned parents, grandparents etc. predicated on the Census that showed Bangalow as having the highest proportion of school age children per capita in Byron Shire. One of the basics of B.I F.F. was that there was to be no formal meetings as we were mostly overworked parents! Because we are in the child-rearing stage of life we cannot do as much in the community as we would like and so bangalow.com allows us input to help shape this community in a compassionate, and inclusive manner. The current webmaster is Milton Cater and he has lived in Bangalow since 1983, and has 3 school age children, and a wider family in the area.
