BROADWATER NATIONAL PARK

About 40 mins south of Bangalow.

The Salty Lagoon walk is 3 kms long and an early morning stroll instills feelings of awe at the diversity of fauna and flora. Wet Heathland gives way to Swamp Forest that opens onto the mysterious and tranquil lagoon and it's waterbirds and feeling of long human habitation.

A spirit woman guards the lagoon. Guangun appears as a light in the swamps at night.
